Not to be so mean with the score I gave them but I was extremely disappointed… there is no service in this place… it’s almost like a fish market bathed in chaos.
I arrived at 7.55pm and got seated around 8.30 with an empty table that was available the whole time. I did tell the male at the reception that I was hungry and we would like to sit to order starters while we wait for 3/5 of the rest of our party to arrive. He still asked us to wait with that empty table conveniently available.
Don’t get me wrong the politeness was there but they would rather get people in and out of the door than provide a good experience. And honestly when I do dine out .. I expect to be looked after well, as I spend my calories and macros in a satisfied environment.
The food was quick to arrive with barely any thought of presentation sadly. Taste wise was something an old store on the corner street would sell. I should have guessed when the waitress asked for spiciness for a Gai Yang? Really?
Btw which came out sweet as anything.
Highlight of the night was dessert. It was presented well and tasted good.
Overall Nickie’s gained this 1 rating thanks to the two waitresses who seemed like they were trying their best to keep all the tables happy. I hope they are not over worked.
Cost: reasonable prices but definitely not worth what is provided.. I would have paid half of what I did for the service and food quality.
Please remember it is about quality not quantity.
I hope you take my rant a constructive feedback to better this place.
